Becoming a Funder

In Inverter, Funders represent the agents who provide resources for project teams. Funders may have different motivations while providing resources; these can be helping a public goods project to flourish, incubating a project, funding their organization's internal workstreams, or running a grant program through Inverter (to learn more, check: Inverter Use Cases.)

In Inverter, there is 2 types of funders: individual and organization.

Individual funders can create their user profiles by using thier wallet addresses and start funding proposals !

To fund proposals as organization,organizations has to register. Following information is required to get registered:

  • Organization Owner

  • Organization Name

  • Contact Email

  • Country of Registration (optional)

  • Summary of Organization

  • Type of funding (ex. art, DeFi)

  • Funding Currency and estimated funding amount

  • Treasury Adress

Once Inverter Team review the application, an e-mail will be sent regarding approval or reason for rejection.

While providing funding, Funders are responsible for overseeing their funded proposals. Their main responsibilities are providing feedback to the progress of the projects they fund and withdrawing funds when they are not satisfied with the Proposal Owners' Proof of Deliverable Completion reports (to learn more: Overseeing a Funded Proposal) in overseeing proposals. To help funders to oversee funded proposals, Inverter will send notifications when there is;

  • a new funder that funds your funded proposal

  • another funder that drop feedback.
